Run your door from the office
Entrance Management in byTicks gives every event one tab for the door: the scan accounts of your team, who checks which ticket where, live check-ins per ticket type and a log of every scan.
Your door team
A scan account for every door person
Give each door person their own scan account for the byTicks scanner app. It can do very little on purpose, so a lost phone never exposes your sales or settings.
- Add people under Scanners: pick an existing account or create a new one
- Admins and managers can both do this
- With one account per person, Active Scanners shows who is scanning where
Entrances
Who checks what, at which entrance
Assign a scanner to your event with an Entrance / Position and its Allowed Ticket Types. A VIP Entrance then lets in VIP tickets, and any other ticket shows Not allowed.
- The position shows next to each phone on the Monitor
- Per event, so the next event can have another door plan
Monitor
How full is it? You see it from the office
The check-in circle shows how many people are inside, out of all tickets. Ticket Type Statistics shows the same per ticket type, so you see which group is still on its way.
- Multi-day event? Pick All days, one day or Other tickets
- Bookmark or share the link: the chosen day stays in the address
- The same numbers are on your dashboards, in the Checked-in Status widget
Active Scanners
Know which phone needs a charger
Every phone at your door is on the Monitor with its battery, its model, its entrance and its number of scans. You see a low battery before the scanning stops.
- The battery turns red below 20%
- Shows whether a phone is charging
- Live Scan Activity shows the latest scans and their result
Log
Every scan on record
A guest says they were never let in? Search the Log by ticket code, ticket type or device. Each row shows the time, the device, the result, the ticket code and the ticket type.
- Choose Last 15 min, Last 1 hour, Last 4 hours or All
- Follows the door live, with new scans on top
More you can do from the office
Lost ticket
Search the order by email and click Resend Ticket.
Ticket will not scan
Set the ticket to Used in the order, and the guest is checked in.
Away from your desk
Monitor, Scanners and Log are on your phone as well.

A Saturday night, seen from the office
You run a main entrance and a VIP entrance, and you are not at the door yourself.

Before the doors
Add a scanner per door person, with an entrance and the ticket types it may check.

Doors open
The check-in circle fills, and you see per ticket type how many have arrived.
- Not allowed
Wrong door
A Regular ticket at the VIP Entrance is refused, and the guest goes to the main entrance.
- 18% battery
Low battery
Active Scanners shows it in red, so you send a power bank to the VIP Entrance.
The next morning, the Log still holds every scan of the night.
